Beer Review #80

Humble Sea Brewing Co. Hop Fusion 2.0 Foggy DIPA

Canned. ABV 8.6%

Appearance: Hazy, Orange Juice

Aroma: Dank, Slight Orange Zest

Palate: Orange Peel, Grassy

Finish: Dank, Slight Dryness (from Hops)

Experience: This was a good night of beer drinking. I was enjoying back to back great beers. Humble Sea never disappoints. This beer was in your face, dry and Dank with a well balance juice profile. Score: 5/5!

Beer Review #74

Almanac Beer Co. & Bare Bottle Beer Co. Simian Squad Hazy DIPA

Canned. No Date Recorded. ABV 8%

Appearance: Hazy, Golden, Finger-width of a tight soapy head

Aroma: Tangerine, Candy

Palate: Tangerine, Orange Zest/Peel

Finish: Dry, Slight Hoppy

Experience: This was such a unique beer. I was excited to see Almanac and Bare Bottle collab on this beer and the can art was fire. My first few sips I was hit was so much tangerine, I almost thought it was a sour. I had to look at the can. Brewed with lime, tamarind, pineapple, coconut, and spices. What a combo and unique profile. Definitely would want to try again not during a beer tasting night to see if my palate would have changed on this beer. Score: 4/5.

Beer Review #73

Humble Sea Brewing Co. Double NorCal Meds Dank Hop Fused Foggy DIPA

Canned. No Date Recorded. ABV 8.1%

Appearance: Hazy, Juice, Half a finger of tight bubbles on the head

Aroma: Mango, Guava, Pineapple, Fruit Bowl, Slight Dank

Palate: Tropical, Grassy, Orange Peel

Finish: Sweet, Hoppy, Slight Dry

Experience: Humble Sea makes amazing, I mean amazing beers! This one was another banger for them. Even when you creep up the ABV percentage they know how to hide it. I love that they have their own take on a hazy IPA and call it a Foggy IPA to continue with their overall theme/marketing. And it works. A great tropical, grassy and dank DIPA. Score 4.75/5.

Brew Review #63

Revision Brewing Co. What What (Dubious) DIPA

Bottled. No Date. ABV 9.1% IBUs 85

Appearance: Slight Hazy, Amber, Finger width fluffy white head.

Aroma: Dank, Lemon Zest, Orange Peel

Palate: Hop Heavy (YES YES YES!!), Light Malt

Finish: Dry Mouth, Smooth

Experience: Thank you Revision! You are on my list for go to beers when I need an amazing IPA. This is everything I was in an IPA; light malt, strong hop smell, and presence. You would not know that this was a 9.1% because it is so smooth with a little malt. Grade 5/5!

Brew Review #49

Agaisnt the Grain Brewery Rico Sauvin DIPA

Canned. Not Date. ABV 8.2%

Color: Amber, Hazy, Finger and Half Head

Smell: Citrus, Malt

Taste: Sweet, Malty

Aftermath: Candy, Bready

Experience: Again, another can buy. And again, I smelt malt on the nose. And guess what I got. A non-hoppy, malty, flat beer. I don’t know how old this beer is but I am so effing tired of malty IPA beers. This is my opinion. I want it juicy or I want so much hops that I need to chew on that shit. I want hoppy, dank, citrus, fruit, light body, no malt (noticed on the palate) IPA. Can you all help me out where I can get this type of IPA? Grade 3.6/5.
